Associate Professor — Business School

About the Role

The Ghana Communication Technology University — GCTU (formerly Ghana Technology University College — GTUC), is now a full-fledged public University, established by the Ghana Communication Technology University Act 2020 (Act 1022). GCTU is a technology-oriented institution with the mandate to provide higher education in Information and Communication Technology. The University, which is located in Tesano, Accra-Ghana, offers an enabling environment and culture conducive for teaching, learning, research, and promotes faculty development and academic success.

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for appointment to the rank of Associate Professor in any of the following departments within the Business School:

• Department of Management and Human Resource
• Department of Accounting, Banking and Finance
• Department of Economics
• Department of Marketing
• Department of Procurement, Logistics and Supply Chain Management

An applicant should state the Rank and Department he/she wishes to apply for as the title of the application letter (e.g. APPLICATION FOR THE POSITION OF AN ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR IN THE DEPARTMENT OF MARKETING).

Requirements

• • Must possess a Ph.D. in the relevant area of specialization.
• • Must have been appointed as an Associate Professor by a recognized university with comparable conditions for appointment/promotion as those of GCTU. The conditions of GCTU include a minimum of four (4) years of experience as a Senior Lecturer and at least ten (10) publications in recognized journals; OR
• • A Senior Lecturer seeking appointment to the rank of Associate Professor will first be appointed as a Senior Lecturer to undergo the University's promotion process.
